Corporate membership

As a not-for-profit organisation, the long-term relationships that we create with our corporate members and industry partners are critical to our success. They allow us to further our extensive networking, professional development, policy, research and advocacy work on behalf of women employed in the superannuation and wider financial services sectors.

Corporate membership involves an organisation signing up a number of their female employees who can then benefit from the extensive value additions that the Women in Super network offer. To learn more about how we can benefit you and your employees, contact Executive Officer, Sandra Buckley on sbuckley@womeninsuper.com.au

Membership Benefits and Opportunities

Be part of a movement of positive change

Women in Super is changing the face of superannuation in Australia. From working with government leaders at the highest level, to enriching the personal and professional development of our members, the benefits and opportunities that WIS offer can be life and career-changing.

Few organisations nationally have the capacity to make such a monumental impact on every-day Australians. WIS on the other hand, has the capacity to change the lives of millions of people by contributing to Australia’s superannuation policy debate and improving retirement outcomes of women.

Being involved with WIS means being involved in something bigger – a movement of change.

But it’s not just on the political stage that we’re making an impact. We’re also dedicated to delivering outstanding value and career-changing opportunities to our members by acting as the catalyst to increase leadership, career development and personal potential.

Unique and regular networking events

Members can take advantage of the large calendar of events that are run throughout the year as well as our annual National Road Show which brings thought provoking presentations to a wide audience across the country. WIS also runs networking events at key industry conferences including CMSF, ASFA and ACSI.

  • The events provide a friendly environment to meet like-minded women in aligned industries who have similar aims and challenges
  • The opportunity to develop a strong and trusted local network of members who support, guide and encourage each other
  • Motivating and engaging speakers with relevant knowledge and inspiration to help members grow their careers.

Professional and personal development opportunities

  • Member only professional development workshops that aim to provide useful, relevant and engaging information to enrich and empower members
  • State and national scholarship opportunities
  • The opportunity for members to step onto committees which will allow them to expand their skills, contribute to their network and gain experience with a not-for-profit organisation.
  • Receive the national bi-monthly newsletter, policy updates and professional development opportunities.

Helping to achieve a superannuation system with gender equality

  • Membership supports the wider aim of WIS to improve retirement outcomes for women through policy initiatives and advocating for policy change
  • WIS works on behalf of its members and women generally with government, unions, employer organisations, regulators, and superannuation funds to improve women’s retirement prospects and access to superannuation
  • WIS funding helps to drive unique and groundbreaking research initiatives, often in partnership with like-minded organisations around Australia.

Membership eligibility criteria

Women in Super was born out of the industry super fund movement. Members must be female and employed (or active) in the superannuation or wider financial services sectors.

As per the Constitution, the Board has the discretion to admit members who do not satisfy these requirements, and albeit rare, this is undertaken on a case by case basis.
