FROM LEARNING to leadership: 2019 WIS NSW/ AGSM Scholarship winners 

Women in Super NSW Chair Lata McNulty and AGSM Director of Executive Education, Magnus Gittins, were on hand last month to announce the winners of this year’s WIS NSW/AGSM Business School Scholarship. 

This year’s winners represented a cross-section of our industry including legal, client service, operations and advice in both superannuation and funds management.  This year’s winners were:

  • Sarah Senior, Legal Counsel – LGS Super
  • Amanda Jackson, Client Service Team Manager – MFS
  • Joya Masud, Manager, Projects and Operational Excellence – EISS Super
  • Manola Calvete, Team Leader, Advice Support – StatePlus 

Speaking about the scholarship, Lata Mcnulty, Women in Super NSW Chair noted that 'Women in Super NSW are committed to providing development and education opportunities to our members.'  Sarah, Amanda, Joya and Manola will now have the opportunity to attend one of four AGSM Executive Education programs including:

  • Leading for High Performance
  • Developing the Strategic Manager
  • The Authentic Communicator: Activating Presence; and
  • Leading Change with Impact.'

"'Learning to leadership' has been a key focus for Women in Super NSW, and we are so pleased that the partnership with the AGSM enables us to offer a platform for our members to develop their skills,” Lata added, “We believe that through the development of a rich pipeline of talented women we can one day achieve on our vision of equal participation of women at all levels within the superannuation industry.  It’s a goal that we hope will enable us to improve retirement outcomes for women over time.”
