We have recently announced the successful recipients of three well regarded Women in Super scholarship programs – the Mavis Robertson Professional Development Scholarship, the Women in Super NSW and AGSM @ UNSW Business School Scholarship and the Women in Super SA Newday Summit Scholarship. The calibre of applications from our members was exceptional and we are delighted to be able to offer scholarship programs such as these to our members year-on-year.
Women in Super NSW are excited to be hosting Audette Exel AO for our upcoming lunch on Thursday 24 May in Sydney. We spoke with Audette about her journey, what motivates her and how she has integrated social justice into her career.
It may surprise you to hear that business leader, Audette Exel, began her journey as a humble social activist and office cleaner. It was her passion for human rights that led Audette to “step out of her tribe” and become a qualified lawyer, before launching a successful business career. She wanted to demonstrate that business could be used as a powerful platform for change and could have a higher purpose beyond profit.
On Tuesday 27 March, Women in Super NSW held the first member-only training event for the year, Building Your Personal Agency. Over 70 members attended to hear from Rosamund Christie about her tips and tricks on how to build personal agency, how to overcome unconscious bias and what default behaviours people have that could be getting in the way.
This year’s Women in Super NSW Lunchtime Series kicked off with investment industry leader and philanthropist, Chris Cuffe who shared anecdotes from his career and insights into the evolution of the super industry.
