vic event recap - speed mentoring with senior women of influence

Women in Super VIC ran a highly successful Speed Mentoring event hosted by Pippa McKenzie from HESTA. More than 70 WIS members had the chance to hear and learn from leaders in the industry. The event started with a fabulous lunch and a chance to network in UniSuper’s Corporate Centre, before moving to 9 rooms where the mentors engaged with attendees on a rotating schedule!

Mentors came from funds, advice and asset management, and all successful women in their own right. They gave generously, talking candidly about their careers and backgrounds as well as their challenges, and dare we say, the mistakes they’ve made. This was a chance to feel connected to leading ladies in our industry and realise that, irrespective of seniority, we are all still people with great stories to tell and learnings to impart.

Each group spent 20 minutes with 4 mentors, and the feedback on the day was overwhelmingly positive.

A huge thanks go to our mentors who gave us all a chance to reflect on our own situations, careers and work/life balance!
