Lunch & Learn:  Gender, AI & Your Seat at the Table
From Awareness to Action: How Women in Super Members Can Shape the AI Transformation

AI isn't coming, it's already here. And as organisations across finance, super and financial services race to embed artificial intelligence into their operations, the decisions being made right now will shape who benefits, who leads, and whose voices are left out.

Join WIS NSW for an intimate online lunch and learn as we move the conversation forward, from understanding gender bias in AI, to what you can do about it.

In a candid in-conversation format, Aubrey Blanche (The Ethics Centre) and Morgan Houston (Women in Super) will explore how women in our industry can stay informed, engage responsibly with AI, and, critically, ensure women have a genuine seat at the table as AI transformation projects are designed and rolled out within their organisations.

Whether you're already navigating AI adoption at work or wondering where to start, this session is designed to turn awareness into practical action.

You'll walk away with:
A clearer understanding of how gender bias shows up in AI systems and why it matters for super and financial services
Practical ways to stay informed and ask the right questions as AI is introduced in your workplace
Strategies for ensuring women's perspectives are embedded in AI projects from the ground up, not added as an afterthought

Bring your lunch, bring your questions, and join the conversation.

Speakers:
Aubrey Blanche – Director of Ethical Advisory & Strategic Partnerships, The Ethics Centre
A global expert in responsible AI and equitable systems, Aubrey is currently studying AI Ethics and Society at Cambridge University. She brings both the gender equity lens and the practical organisational knowledge to help us move from concern to action.

Morgan Houston – WIS National Board Director & NSW Committee Member
Morgan brings a deep understanding of the Women in Super community and the financial services landscape, ensuring this conversation is grounded in what matters most to our members.
