The power and payoff of non-consensus investing

Rupal Bhansali, Chief Investment Officer and Portfolio Manager for global fund manager Ariel Investments shares her insights and experience in the global investment world of non-consensus investing.

Author of the book Non-Consensus Investing: Being Right When Everyone Else is Wrong, Rupal will share the potential pitfalls and perils of passive, the true potential and correct practice of active, real world case studies of upset victories and how to win by not losing.

Rupal will be sharing her insights into how she succeeded in what is a largely male-dominated industry, to become a member of the Barron's Investment Roundtable which showcases "10 of Wall Street's Smartest Investors". She will discuss her remarkable achievements, including what it means to be one of the 'smartest investors', and will provide tips in investing. 

All attendees will receive a complimentary copy of her latest book, Non-Consensus Investing: Being Right When Everyone Else is Wrong and Rupal will be signing copies between 12pm – 12.30pm and at the conclusion of the event.

ABOUT RUPAL BHANSALI

Rupal is chief investment officer and portfolio manager of Ariel’s international and global equity strategies. In this capacity, she manages approximately $7 billion in portfolios for both institutional and retail clients.

In January, 2019, Rupal became the newest member of the prestigious Barron’s Investment Roundtable, which showcases “10 of Wall Street’s smartest investors.”

Rupal was named the 2019 North America Industry Leadership Honoree by 100 Women in Finance, a global network of professional women and men in the finance and alternative investment industries. She is the author of the book, Non-Consensus Investing: Being Right When Everyone Else Is Wrong, published by Columbia Business School Publishing.

Rupal earned a Bachelor as well as a Master of Commerce in finance from the University of Mumbai. She later earned an MBA in finance from the University of Rochester, where she was a Rotary Foundation Scholar.
