The 2025-26 Federal Budget is set to be handed down by Treasurer Jim Chalmers on Tuesday, 25 March 2025. Last year, we celebrated a major win with the inclusion of superannuation on Commonwealth Parental Leave Pay—a change we fought hard for.

This year, our focus turns to what still needs to be done. In our pre-budget submission, we emphasised the urgent need to realign the Low-Income Superannuation Tax Offset (LISTO) to ensure that the lowest-paid workers—many of whom are women—are no longer paying the highest effective tax rates on their super. Will this Budget deliver?
