Lunch & Learn: What Super and Insurance Need to Learn from Women
How trustees and insurers can better reflect women’s experiences
How well does the superannuation and insurance system reflect women’s lived experiences?
In this Lunch & Learn session, Keely O’Brien explores whether current approaches truly meet the needs of women, and where gaps remain across products, communication and engagement.
Drawing on consumer and policy research from the Council of Australian Life Insurers, this session examines the structural and behavioural factors that shape women’s financial outcomes – and what this means for those designing and delivering services.
Participants will be encouraged to think critically about current approaches and identify opportunities to better support women across the superannuation system.
Why attend:
Women’s experiences of work, income and retirement are different – and systems need to reflect that.
This session will help you:
- Understand key research insights on women’s experiences with insurance and superannuation
- Identify the factors that influence how women engage with financial products
- Recognise gaps in current approaches across products and communication
- Explore practical opportunities to better support female members
- Strengthen your ability to influence more equitable outcomes
