Charlotte Ahearne - Policy and Advocacy Manager, HESTA

Charlotte Ahearne is Policy and Advocacy Manager at HESTA, a specialist superannuation fund for the health and community services sector. She influences for policy and law reform to help improve retirement outcomes for women and lower income workers. Charlotte is a passionate advocate for gender equality who has worked in legal and policy roles spanning banking, superannuation, government, corporate law and the community sector.

Micaela Drieberg – CEO, Gender Equity Victoria

Micaela, a committed feminist, is a strategic, collaborative leader with over 20 years of experience across for-purpose sectors, including all three levels of government, universities, not-for-profit organisations and peak bodies. Micaela has previously served as a Mayor and Ministerial Adviser. In addition to her work with GEN VIC she is also a Teaching Associate with Monash University and participates in several government advisory bodies.

Leonora Risse - Gender Equality Economist

Leonora is an Associate Professor in Economics at Queensland University of Technology, an Adjunct Professor with QUT’s Centre for Decent Work and Industry, and a Research Fellow with the Women’s Leadership Institute Australia. She serves as an Expert Panel Member on gender pay equity for the Fair Work Commission and an Expert Panel Member for the Parliamentary Budget Office. Leonora is a co-founder and former National Chair of the Women in Economics Network (WEN), which works to elevate women in economics and create a more gender equitable economics profession across Australia. She is part of the team who created the annual Australian Gender Economics Workshop (AGEW). Leonora’s research focuses on gender gaps in the workforce, including the gender pay gap and women’s under-representation in leadership and decision-making. Her expertise extends to labour economics, disadvantage and wellbeing.
