About Women in Super
Women in Super is a national not-for-profit organisation that advocates for women's economic security and better retirement outcomes – an Australia where all women are able to retire into security and safety.
For more than 30 years, we have championed a superannuation system that delivers fairness and equality for women. We work with government, regulators, employer organisations, unions, superannuation funds and industry stakeholders to influence policy, drive reform and ensure women's voices are heard in decisions that affect their financial futures.
We also support women working across the superannuation and financial services sectors through professional development, networking, leadership initiatives, scholarships and mentoring opportunities. We encourage and promote women's representation in leadership and decision-making roles and continue to advocate for greater diversity across the industry.

History of Women in Super
Women working in superannuation founded Women in Super in 1994 because they recognised the need for stronger networks, greater representation and a collective voice.
As Australia's superannuation system evolved, Women in Super expanded its focus beyond professional connections and emerged as a leading advocate for women's economic security. The organisation brought together women from across the industry to challenge barriers, influence policy and address the systemic inequalities that leave women worse off in retirement.
Over the past three decades, Women in Super has helped drive important conversations about women's financial futures, supported women to build successful careers and advocated for reforms that improve retirement outcomes for generations of Australian women.
While the challenges have changed over time, our purpose remains clear: advancing equality and creating an Australia where women can retire with genuine dignity, security, and independence.
Women in Super and the Mother's Day Classic
Mavis Robertson AM and Louise Davidson AM founded the Mother's Day Classic through the Women in Super network after recognising the devastating impact breast cancer was having on Australian women and their families.
Their vision transformed a single fundraising event into one of Australia's most successful community initiatives. Since its inception, the Mother's Day Classic has united communities across the country, raised significant funds for cancer research and support programs, and improved the lives of countless Australians.
The Mother's Day Classic demonstrates the same qualities that have defined Women in Super for more than three decades: leadership, courage, determination and a willingness to take action when change is needed.
Its success remains one of the most significant legacies associated with the Women in Super network and a powerful example of the impact women can achieve when they turn ideas into action.
